Yes it wont work if you build your green house inside a cavern. Other than that the design is just fine.

Information technology does. I tried edifice in extinction under a building and it wouldn't get sunlight. If you have the "roof icon" saying you have a roof over your head already and so build a greenish house under it, the sunlight will not reach due to being "blocked" Inside caves the upshot should automatically apply since information technology's usually rendered equally separate from the surface

Yeah I was going to say information technology looks like you are in a cave. You tin can't have anything blocking the lord's day, even a skiff volition cease your greenhouse effect.

Unrelated, just oh my god I feel similar an idiot because I've been putting my taps on the ground instead of hanging above like that. That looks way nicer, and doesn't get in the mode of the crops.

I usually put the pipes and taps IN the foundations. they still work but you don't see them at all.
